November 6th Prompt;
October 6th Prompt ; What is the "truth" of mythology? :
Mythology in truth is a crutch. But necessarily in the sense, a "rotten/bad" crutch. It's something that holds up the fabric of some societies. It illustrates the fact that there are forces beyond our power, and that we must do as we are told in these such stories. But it's universal, and many people can take with it what they will. Another truth I've found, is that the wrong are always wrong, and perpetually wrong. Within these myths at the least. A personal truth for me, would be that the human mind is fascinating and expansive to fathom such tales, which is worth studying. I personally do not have a religion or belief, but that does not stop me from respecting those who do, and those who need reasoning to explain their existence. Mythology in truth is a great network of explanations and reasons. Whether what entails in these explanations and reasons are truth doesn't matter. Truth is in the eye of the beholder. What I see as truth, someone may see as a lie, and vice versa.
